Mountain Bike Half Day Tour - The Dharug Loop

Central Coast

Overview

Enjoy the isolation and beauty of this area as we ride through the Dharug National Park, located inland from the NSW Central Coast.

Starting in the picturesque Dubbo Gully, we will ride into the Dharug National Park. This park is an isolated wilderness area, and is full of early European history. In the 1830's, a road was constructed through the area using convict labour - the result is the Old Great North Road. We will see evidence of their amazing stonework at retaining walls and bridges. Your guide will give you an insight into the construction and hardships the convicts faced.

After meeting your guide at the departure point, you will be given a briefing on track use, bike use and safety. Once all is ready, we will head out, stopping at various points of interest along the way. There will be plenty of time to enjoy your surroundings and to take it all in. The pace is set by you, we can go as fast or slow as you like, stop as often or as little as you like......afterall, it is your day!

The tour is around 16km in length. There are hills to ride up and hills to ride down, and there is never any pressure on you to ride a section that you are not confident about. If you decide to walk a section, that's OK too. Your guide will even walk with you if that's what you want.

This tour includes includes morning tea, mountain bike, helmet, National Park fees (where applicable), and limited transfers (please contact us first to arrange transfers).
