Freycinet Kayak and Walking Tour
Description
Your day begins with a relaxed paddle along Freycinet's stunning coastline - imagine pink granite mountains, sandy white beaches and blue waters so clear you feel you can touch the marine life below!
Before heading out onto the water in double kayaks your friendly guides provide a safety briefing and paddling instructions. Then it's off to enjoy the unique perspective that sea kayaking offers!
Sea kayaks allow us to slowly explore this spectacular coastline, passing quietly by wildlife and perhaps seeing a majestic eagle as it soars above. Discover the history of secluded coves such as Honeymoon Bay, hear tales of French explorers and learn about the ancient culture of the Oyster Bay tribe.
Following your sea kayaking experience you'll collect your lunch (included) from the local bakery and board the Aqua Taxi for your cruise from Coles Bay into the heart of Freycinet National Park (please note that National Park passes are not included in the price).
Here you will enjoy the easy self-guided 30-minute walk to Wineglass Bay, which has become world-renowned for its pristine waters, white sands and true wilderness setting. Take time to wander barefoot, picnic, relax, swim or simply soak up the stunning surrounds.
You then stroll back to the beach for your Aqua Taxi return journey to Coles Bay, where your Freycinet adventure comes to an end!

Location
Coles Bay (Hobart - Tasmania)
This trip departs from Coles Bay - a township that borders the Freycinet National Park. It is 2 hours drive from Launceston or Hobart. There are public bus services from Launceston and Hobart on most days.
Participant Guidelines
This experience is suitable for anyone with an average level of fitness as it involves kayaking and walking. The kayaking requires no previous experience and full instruction is given. The walking track is well-marked and flat. Families welcome (children must be 12 years of age and older).
As we operate in the outdoors, this experience may be affected by the weather. We do not launch kayaks or the Aqua Taxi if we consider the sea conditions to be unsuitable for the group. The tour may be altered to depart from an alternative location such as Swanwick Bay or rescheduled.

Must be booked at least 2 days before activity.
We suggest you wear sandals or trainers and comfortable clothing such as shorts and a t-shirt. It is also recommended that you wear a hat and bring a drink bottle and sunscreen. Comfortable shoes and small backpack are recommended for the self guided walk. All sea kayaking equipment is provided including warm jackets, PFD and waterproof bag.
Session Length
This experience is available daily from November to April ONLY. We are closed on Christmas Day. Your adventure starts at 8.30am and finishes at approximately 5pm. The sea kayaking goes for three hours and you have 3-4 hours at in the national park in the afternoon.
Numbers on Day
The price quoted is for one person. Sea kayaking is a group activity and the self-guided walk can be done in a group, with a guide, or alone. Our sea kayaking tour requires a minimum of 2 people to operate and a maximum of 12 people.
Cancellation Cover
It is recommended that at the time of booking, you consider purchasing GoDo Cancellation Cover. The GoDo Cancellation Cover is insurance cover for the purchaser when losses are incurred if the activity is canceled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier.
