Overview
The Coorong is a World Heritage area. The ocean views, vast lakes and high sand dunes create a unique and spectacular landscape. The wetlands of this area are an important breeding ground for an incredible diversity of water birds, some of which are rare and endangered. This unique environment of international significance creates the ideal setting for a kayaking adventure. Blue Water Sea Kayaking will take you to this incredible area for a safe, fun and enjoyable adventure for all ages and levels of experience. We will meet you at Goolwa, a leisurely 90 minute drive from Adelaide, and escort you to the launch site. Here we load the stable double sea kayaks with supplies for the day and head off to explore the secrets of the Coorong. The journey is made at a leisurely pace. We stop at Godfrey's Landing Interpretive Centre for lunch. Here you can take a stroll along the interpretive trail that winds through the stunning sand dunes. Story boards here tell of Pondi, the dreamtime creator of the mighty Murray and interesting facts about the fauna and flora of the area. At the end of the trail the panorama of the southern coastline with crashing waves is breathtaking. The tour fee includes all kayaking equipment, experienced guides to keep you safe and a BBQ lunch with non-alcoholic drinks. Lunch includes a selection of meat, chicken and seafood and fresh salads. We pride ourselves on offering fresh, local produce and can cater for special dietary requirements on request. Full details of the day's adventure will be provided upon receiving your booking.
